Harlem Lacrosse (www.harlemlacrosse.org)
Harlem Lacrosse is a school-based non-profit organization that provides academic and behavioral intervention, leadership training, mentoring and lacrosse instruction to at-risk youth. Through study halls, tutoring, lacrosse coaching and admissions counseling, HL emphasizes the importance of teamwork as it aims to help students build confidence and realize their full potential. The academic model is school-based, which allows staff to work directly with students throughout the school day and the calendar year.
HL’s lacrosse programs are designed to keep students engaged and active throughout the year. To date, HL has helped nearly 40 students earn over $15 million in scholarship offers from schools such as Groton School, Peddie School, UVA, West Point, Haverford College, Colby College, Bates College, Hobart College, and Dickinson College.
